The concert itself was insane. There was a warm up band, and a warm up band for the warm up band. I thought the crowd was crazy during the warm up bands, but once Flogging Molly came on there was not one person in the whole venue that wasn't sweating balls. By the end of the night, I had suffered multiple injuries including a bleeding scraped elbow, bruises on my arms and legs, and was also kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. Despite all of these injuries I had a great time, and even went up on the crowd myself a couple of times.
I know my best friend had a great time too, cause she celebrated the night by making out with three of the four guys with whom we went to the concert. (The only way I feel safe posting this is cause she recently told me that she thinks "blogs are stupid and she never reads them." Good thing too, because she would be pissed if she saw this ^_^)
Well back to the band. I gained a new respect for drunken irishmen and their rowdy, spirited music about everything from women to whiskey to tobacco, which are on every respectable Irishman's list of favorite things.
Drunken Lullabies is one of Flogging Molly's best-known songs, which is why I had no trouble singing along to it at the concert.
Enjoyy :)
