I'm not really a rap person. I actually don't like rap at all. I'm not a hip hop person either. I listen to Brand New, Coheed, Blitzen Trapper, múm and indie music mostly. But I absolutely LOVE Kid Cudi. I think he is so sexy, and his music is both catchy and clever. His first album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, is a concept album, which I think is so brave for an emerging hip-hop artist to release as his first album. I'm not quite sure what the album is about yet, I'm in the process of listening to the album tracks in order to make sense of the story.

"Soon after falling into a deeper psychedelic state to escape the prison of our reality, our hero becomes trapped in his own peaceful place which immediately becomes his sanctuary. A place filled with his wildest dreams. This is his new home." -Common, in Kid Cudi's "Enter Galactic" off Man on the Moon: The End of Day

Kid Cudi is so talented, and I can't wait for him to release his next album, continuing the story for The End of Day.

This is one of my favorite songs off of the album.

And this track is almost as good as Heart of a Lion. If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, at least listen to the last minute or so. Its basically a monologue, narrated by Common, describing what is to come in the album ahead. AMAZING.

And if I can turn one person on to KiD CuDi, I will have done my job right.
